States to decide which plans are PPACA-compliant

States will be the ultimate determinant as to whether they will allow insurers to renew existing health insurances plans in 2014 even though these policies may not comply with the new Affordable Care Act, President Obama and state insurance regulators agreed at a White House meeting last night.

Health FSA Rule Change Explained

Under the new rule, a plan may — but is not required to — allow participants to carryover up to $500 in unused contributions to the next plan year. The $500 carryover does not count against the maximum employee contribution to an HFSA of $2500 per year.
